Special licence introduced in UP for private storage of booze

If you maintain your personal bar at home in Uttar Pradesh, and keep large quantity of IMFL, imported foreign liquor beyond permissible retail sales limits, you are eligible to apply for the special licence introduced by UP government under the new excise policy 2021.

Under this new rule and licence, eligible candidate to pay annual licence fee of 12000 rupees and security deposit of 51000.Also applicant must be income tax payee and last five years and come under 20% tax bracket in at least 3 years.

As per new rule, licence holder may have collection of any type of booze IMFL etc but maximum quantity has been fixed .This rule is only applicable for Indian made foreign liquor and imported foreign liquor such as whisky, rum, wine, brandy, beer, gin and vodka.
