2.Brew Whale, Khar West

At its growler station at Khar West, Brew Whale has launched a new beer—The Oktoberfest Lager, to commemorate the German festival. Given the sudden ubiquity of heavily flavoured ales, such as stouts and hazy IPA’s, the brand thought that they would gravitate back toward simpler, more drinkable beer. In other words, a beer that tastes like beer. And what better occasion than Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest Lager is pale gold with a frothy white head and packs a bread-like malty flavour. Brew Whale has ensured that this beer retains the crispness of a lager with a fairly non-existent hop flavour. The low ABV makes it a highly sessionable beer, i.e., very drinkable and ideal for a long afternoon or evening with friends.
