1.Kamet:
Kamet puerly Indian although inspired from Mount Kamet in Uttarakhand, it is distilled near Kurukshetra in Haryana run by Mumbai based Ansh Khanna, an upcoming Indian single malt whisky , using six-row barley matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon American Oak, ex-Wine French Oak, PX and Olorosso ex-Sherry casks. The brand’s already made its Instagram debut, and in an interview with Money Control, Ansh Khanna, one of the founders of the label, states that Kamet is soft-launched in the sunshine state of Goa, is priced Rs 2,699.It will soon be available across the country.
2.Amrut Fusion X
Amrut launched a new single malt whisky to commemorate their 10th anniversary. The Amrut Fusion X.
The new blend, bottled in a pristine white ceramic case, made by Wade Ceramics in England, was released, internationally, in the last week of November in a very limited run. Only 1010 bottles, with 240 bottles reserved for the US, 600 for the European continent, and 60 for Bengaluru. Evidently, there has been a mad scramble among distributors and fans, though its priced at 15000 Rupees a bottle. In an IGTV, the brand explains that the bottle’s design is meant to capture the defining moments of Amrut and its makers. The expression itself is a caramel-hued single malt with hints of marzipan, citrus, tropical fruits and vanilla cream. Expect a tantalising, smooth finish.
