You cant carry liquor in AP from other states

If you are travelling from other states to Andhra Pradesh and plan to carry your own alcohol, then be ready to either pay extra taxes or penalty.

Government issued new orders amending its previous rules allowing individuals to possess certain number of liquor bottles without permit or license. Authorities think with this rule there was huge smuggling happening.

The state, however, allows people coming from other countries to carry two litres of duty-free liquor without permit or payment of taxes as per guidelines.

Special Chief Secretary to the government, Dr Rajat Bhargava said that the new orders would prevent smuggling of liquor from other states especially Telangana.
