How to make mulled wine at home 25

Mulled wine is typically a winter drink rather festive drink I would say. It is the easiest drink to prepare it hardly takes 5 minutes to make good tasty mulled wine at home. So if u have 5 friends meeting for some dinner party or a gathering of 30 people at home mulled wine is something which can be prepared very quickly and easily at home. Generally in my experience, everyone likes mulled wine

Wine: doest have to be very expensive and collection wine— any basic bottle of dry red or white wine will do.

Fresh oranges: Fresh healthy oranges, One of which we will slice and mull with the wine, one of which you can slice and use as a garnish if you’d like.

Cinnamon: best is making a mulled wine with cinnamon sticks, but Cinnamon powder will also work

Spices: Indians, in any case, like spics, but whole cloves and star anise are must for the best results, plus perhaps a few cardamom pods.

Sweetener: Feel free to add your favorite sweetener to taste.I like honey or maple syrup, one can add sugar also.

1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and give them a quick stir.

2. Heat until the wine just barely reaches a simmer over medium-high heat. (Avoid letting it a bubble — you don’t want to boil off the alcohol.) Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the wine simmer for at least 15 minutes or up to 3 hours.

3. Using a fine-mesh strainer, remove and discard the orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and ginger. Give the mulled wine a taste, and stir in your desired amount of extra sweetener if needed.

4. Serve and enjoy
