Sidecar, New Delhi- An artisanal cocktail bar
Sidecar is started by renowned bartender and award-winning mixologist, Yangdup Lama, and Consultant and Beverage marketing expert Minakshi Singh in South Delhi’s M-block market, Greater Kailash-2. The Up top decor and upholstery offered by these place adds to the classy and royal-ish vibes here. For those of you who enjoy their quiet time and cozy corners, choose to sit on the 1st floor. The first floor has suede lounge chairs and many quirky and artistic portraits hanging on the walls give it a European vibe. Every Saturday, a music stage hosts a live band. In fact, a Toby Keith song was given to the architect of the place as the brief for the design.
The place also has a little bookstore corner provided by Hachette India, having more than 600 books. A book reader can always grab a drink and sit in their little corner with a favorite book in hand. If you enjoy blues, classic rock, a loud bar, and live music, grab a bar stool on the 2nd floor.
This bar has an amazing range of cocktails and mocktails. In addition, there are 16 signature cocktails. The bartenders can spin you a drink based on the spirit of your choice even off of the menu. It’s International in its cocktail curation. Their ‘Sidecar Fizz’, ‘Rosemary Orange Spritz’, and ‘Velvet Spice’ are must-haves from the beverages menu. Overall the bartenders are the real star of this place.
Coming on to the food menu, order the Pork Belly, Chilli Miso Prawn, Snow Pea’s bowl, and the Lamb Rendang bowl. The must-haves for non-vegetarian are ‘Bloody Mary Prawns’, ‘Proscuitto Toast with Bourbon Honey Glaze’, ‘Lamb Bulgogi’, and the ‘Teriyaki Pork Belly’. Finish your meal with the Doughnut Toast. It is a rich dessert mixed with an easy, fun vibe of a doughnut that is served with homemade gelatos.
